Info from Licensor: "I was observing (on Beaumaris Lake, Edmonton's largest storm water pond) a pair of red-necked grebes tending and feeding 2 recently hatched chicks. I took several photos and videos of those activities. Usually the offerings were small forage fish but a few leeches were caught for the hungry youngsters, which during the course of my time there, variously, rode on the backs of one or both of the adults or swam on their own. By the time this video was taken, the young birds were well fed and not eager to take the proffered leech. Ultimately, the adult consumed that food."
