Info from Licensor: "I found this bat poking its foot through my washroom vent, at first it freaked me out not knowing it was a bat. But once I got a closer look I could ID its body parts poking out such as wings and colors, including sounds it made, which were clearly bat sounds. We opened the vent, wearing gloves for protection, and were able to capture the bat smoothly and calmly. Once outside, we kept him in a little cardboard box with a tiny opening for it to leave when it was ready. A short clip showing the bat on the tree was roughly an hour before it got dark and later on we saw it flying around, at night. The bat was saved, and no one got bit or scratched. We sanitized the washroom and vents afterward as a further precaution. We believe the bat was living in a tree across the street. But the tree was cut down a few days before we found it in the vent. So most likely that's how it ended up there. The vent was the cold air intake and was since looked at made ensured the possibility of re-entry was minimal. We worked together in ensuring the bat's safe return to the wild."
