Occurred on August 30, 2023 / Uloya, Uloybukt, Norway
Info from Licensor: "At lunchtime, me and my boyfriend went for a walk on the Arctic Island in North of Norway - Uløya. A few meters above our house, we found a stuck reindeer in the fence. We decided to call a local ranger to help him out. The local Sami guy - Øyvind arrived and since he was alone, he asked for assistance. So me, my boyfriend Patrik, and our friend Veronika went into the bushes to rescue him. Øyvind used ropes to lie him down, and then we came closer to keep him on the ground and cut off the fences. The fence was badly stuck on his horns, so Patrik needed to use also angle grinder to release everything. The rescue operation lasted around 12 minutes. Luckily we were able to cut off all the fences from the reindeer’s horns, so he returned to the wild nature with no issues. Also, we cleaned up the area around just to be sure no other animal can get hurt."
