Occurred on July 7, 2018 / Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
Info from Licensor: "I was taking pictures at the Virginia Beach oceanfront due to the strong surf and high waves from a tropical depression that was off the coast of North Carolina. There were red flags on the beach that stated DANGER NO SWIMMING. when I noticed a lifeguard jump into the water at Rudee Inlet. As I looked I saw another man who was on the rocks across the mouth on the inlet and he was walking down the rocks and jumped into the water with the lifeguard, As the lifeguard was swimming to shore, about three other lifeguards went into the water to assist with the rescue. The whole rescue took about three minutes. After I took the video of the rescue, I noticed that a jet ski Had been wrecked upon the rocks at the mouth of the inlet which is how the man being rescued ended up in his predicament."
