Info from Licensor: "A cow and newborn calf moose got trapped behind the fence in my backyard. Alaska Fish and Game wouldn’t come to help and suggested that I “wait it out”. The cow could jump the fence but the calf could not. This means that my children and dogs could not go outside without risking being attacked by the cow defending her baby.
Almost a day later, the calf was still trapped in the same area of the yard, but the cow was about 15 feet away in the neighboring yard. I strapped on my .44 revolver for last-ditch protection and approached the calf as my wife kept an eye on the cow moose. It seems that they both were ready for help. After a few racing heart moments, I was successful."
