Occurred on January 30, 2025 / Cuba, Missouri, USA Info from Licensor: "I came home from work and our Great Pyrenees mix Buddy, didn’t greet me as usual. Then an hour later my husband came home and asked where he was. We beeped his collar, which usually brings him running. Instead we heard a cry, thinking it was from the woods by the lake. We went toward the sound, and I heard faint moans. I plowed through overgrown brush to discover him about 50 feet out trying to pull himself out, but he couldn’t get a grip on the ice. The minimum time he had been in there at that point had to have been 2 hours or more. Called 911. Our wonderful volunteer fire department went all out to save him by entering the icy lake to get to him. He was brought in the house on a stretcher. We warmed him, and happy to say, he is back to normal. We are very grateful!"
