Info from Licensor: "17-month-old black bear, Ace, is a real character and loves to play, especially with his black “bucket hat”! He is determined to put it on his head! Ace arrived at Black Bear Rescue Manitoba, an animal charity, in October 2023 when he was nine months old. An orphan, he was in rough shape, very small and thin. He had a badly fractured leg that also had an open wound. Hobbling on three legs, he wouldn’t have survived the winter on his own, so he was fortunate to have been seen by cottagers at Falcon Lake, MB who kept an eye out for him until he was eventually spotted and reported to the local conservation officer who caught Ace and he was brought to our bear rehabilitation facility. He had surgery on his leg and his wound was mended and he rested and recovered over the winter and is now a robust and healthy yearling! He’ll be returned home to the wild soon, but not before stealing everyone’s heart with his gentle and playful personality!"
