Info from Licensor: "I was lucky enough to watch an “echidna train” – a rarely seen mating ritual where a group of males will follow a female for up to 6 weeks. The last male standing is her suitor. There were 5 echidnas in a train about 20 meters from the end of our driveway. They kept going through a culvert under the road, popping out and walking around and then back into the culvert to the other side again. Often 1 or 2 would come out of the culvert and walk across the road to go back into the culvert on the other side. Whenever the female came out of the culvert, all 4 males would follow. I just sat and watched for about 30 minutes and they were completely unfazed by me being there. One even came up and sniffed my shoes as I sat there. It was incredible to watch!"
