Info from Licensor: "I was driving home from a graveyard shift (Water treatment) and had just barely gotten onto highway 50 westbound when I saw traffic braking hard in the fourth lane. This is pretty common, because the fifth lane turns into an exit only and people like to make last-second jumps between the two lanes, usually causing a backup. This happened early on Monday morning. I've driven that stretch for a long time and have seen the aftermath of collisions like that, but have never been witness to one with such magnitude and proximity. I credit a lot of my level head to both my dad teaching me defensive driving and an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course I had taken thanks to my employer. Thankfully I was not hurt, and I was able to call 9-1-1 immediately after getting myself safely out of the immediate collision area."
