Info from Licensor: "We heard cries coming from the ceiling above our bed. It was so loud we couldn’t sleep. My husband went outside at 1 am to look on the roof and the gutters but found nothing. Eventually, we realized they were coming from inside the ceiling. We don’t have an attic, so there was no other way to get to them than to cut open the ceiling. David pulled four kittens out and then waited for the mama kitty to come out. She wouldn’t. At 5 am, we finally closed the hole and put the kittens on the lanai in a box with the screen door open, hoping the mom could join them. Mama kitty could hear them and came down from the roof soffit that she broke through, and rejoined her babies on the lanai. David inspected the ceiling the next day and found no more kittens. Then, four days later, he was walking around the outside of the house and could hear more kitten cries coming from above our nursery bedroom. Again, he tore open the ceiling, and 'catfished' two more kittens out. We believe that the mom had hidden those two from us while we were taking the first four out. They were three feet down the side of the window facade, completely out of view or touch. The crazy thing is, we had a stillborn baby a few months before, and we were really dreading the weekend because that was our baby’s due date. For the mama kitty to choose our house, that same week, let alone, hide her babies in our nursery was a crazy turn of events. The kittens have been a nice distraction."
