Shark frenzy in the Gulf of Mexico
Posted by:
Robert J. Blanchard
Sharks head north after migrating south for the winter. An oil rig worker captured this incredible aerial video showing hundreds of sharks migrating through the Gulf Of Mexico as they return to Louisiana waters. "I was working offshore on a production platform in the Gulf of Mexico when I noticed one morning a large amount of sharks circling the platform. We see sharks occasionally, but never this many, so I decided to film what I called a shark frenzy. There were too many to count and I was astounded by the sight of so many sharks swimming so close to the surface." Location: 22 miles off the coast of Grand Isle, Louisiana
