Info from Licensor: "After spending the day yesterday preparing for a cat 3 Cyclone it was a mad rush this morning making preparations for a cat 5 heading straight for us. We got out of bed at 3 am to start the preparation but we could not have been prepared for what hit. We were running from one side of the house opening and closing windows for 7 hours as we got battered by 240-kilometer winds. We were on the southern side of the cyclone and it just swirled and swirled nonstop for 6 hard hours. We witnessed the front of the neighbours' house collapse at around 12 midday and then 10 minutes later the roof came off. We looked up the road and 2 doors up the roof started flying off and straight towards us. The cyclone then turned and all the roofing iron and guttering started heading straight for us, we looked out the other side of the house and a massive tree has come down onto the shed and broken it to bits. The tin is now caught up on our cars and doing relentless damage. We have had over 25 trees fall around us taking away our complete privacy that we used to have. We did live in a bush setting where we could not see any neighbours before this storm hit. It has been a very devastating day. We lay here tonight with no power we are trapped due to flooding and have no way out. There are power lines down around us everywhere. Our 7.5 meter Boat is even just sitting in the middle of the road as it has power lines hanging over it. We have no idea when we will be able to leave. Our neighbours are all in ruin with no roofs some have exterior walls missing and no ceilings yet we can't leave the street. We hope help arrives soon. What a terrifying day."
