Info from Licensor: "Rescuers were called out to a seal at a nature reserve at Lewes. It came through 2 sluice gates and found himself trapped in a reed bed after flood water burst its banks.
East Sussex Wildlife Rescue attended and called in British Divers Marine Life Rescue.
The seal was struggling to find his way back out to the River. Rescuers hoped the seal would follow the flood water once the tide turned, but the seal just seem more confused.
Rescuers blocked the seal into a small flooded woodland to attempt capture.
Julia jumped the seal, followed by Trevor. The 2 wrestled the seal to gain full control
to avoid the seal going back through the sluice gates. He was released at Newhaven Marina."
