Occurred on August 25, 2019 / Cooper Landing, Alaska, USA
Info from Licensor: "We were traveling through Alaska in an RV, and were stopped at a checkpoint waiting for a pilot car to escort us through what we understood to be smoke on the road from nearby fires. After watching 10-15 fire trucks go in, and come back out a couple of hours later, we decided to follow the pilot car when the road reopened with a mile of cars. After several miles of smoke, we came up to the top of a hill, and the wind picked up. The flames seemed to reach over the RV and we could feel the heat. Several seconds later, it was over. Only 3 sets of headlights were visible in the rear view mirror."
