Info from Licensor: "I was out walking with the girls the other morning when I heard an animal running up from a distance behind us. I assumed it was the new neighbors dog coming down to say hi. But when I turn around I see a fawn running full blast towards us. My first thought was 'Where’s mama!? I don’t want the girls to get stomped!' But it was just the babe. Xena was on a leash but Purd was loose so she took off after baby. Purd chased the baby but it kept looping back to me. Purd and the babe ran down the road and that’s when I realized they’re were actually playing. I took Xena home and grabbed my car and drove back down. the fawn came when I called it 'baby' Then continued to play with Purdy. When I opened the car door for Purdy baby fawn happily jumped in after her. We’re all best friends now. I gave it its own enclosure incase it wanted space but it wouldn’t leave the girls, and followed us everywhere. It was fascinated by the girls and loved watching Purdy play fetch. Finally, the rescue came. They told me he’s a boy and named him after my last name. They definitely think he was human raised because of his comfortability with humans and dogs, and was clearly bottle trained. They also think they can socialize him and get him back out to his natural home. So now Pat is off to join seven other fawns that they will raise as a heard until they are ready to venture back out into the wild."
