Occurred on June 14, 2019 / Katmai National Park, Alaska, USA
Info from Licensor: We were on our honeymoon in Alaska. This happened on our last day in the park. We went on a hike to a lookout point on Dumpling Mountain, a mile and a half away from the campground. No one was hurt, just a close call! It was very intense, especially considering we had no protection. It looked like the bear was going to cross the trail, but then he turned towards us, forcing us off the trail onto the lower ground. The forest was thick and there were downed trees, so there was nowhere else to go."
