Info from Licensor: A low-pressure system caused a number of severe thunderstorms in Sydney, with giant hail, on the 14th of March, 2019. I was driving home when I noticed the amazing cloud formation. So I drove up a hill to film it. I was mesmerized. I could see the cloud circling and coming lower and lower to the ground. For a few moments, I honestly thought a tornado was about to touch down. I thought I better drive home. I was JUST in time! As I drove into my street; a giant hailstone pounded my car. I gasped in disbelief at how big it was and raced home. Unfortunately, my housemate has parked in the garage so all I could do was park in the driveway. As I quickly got out of the car, a giant hailstone smashed against my hand. I ran into the garage and started filming. My car ended up with dents all over it. I could hear the sound of tiles smashing. The hail was the size of golf balls.
When it finally ended the street was filled with hail. Half an hour later though, we had round 2, with more hail and damaging wind. This storm lasted hours and went on into the night."
